Accurate and reliable liquid flow measurement for industry
Electromagnetic flowmeters are modern measuring devices that use Faraday's law of induction to determine the flow rate of conductive liquids. They are ideal for measuring water, wastewater, acids, alkalis and other conductive media.

What is an electromagnetic flow meter?
An electromagnetic flowmeter (also called a magnetic flowmeter or "mag meter") is a flowmeter that does not measure flow mechanically. Instead, it uses a magnetic field and Lenz's law to calculate the flow of a conductive fluid based on the electromotive force. The device has no moving parts, so its maintenance is minimal and its reliability is very high.

Operating principle
An electromagnetic flowmeter generates a magnetic field around a pipe. When a conductive fluid flows through this field, a voltage is generated in it that is proportional to the flow rate. This voltage is measured by electrodes and converted into a flow signal. In this way, the volumetric flow rate can be accurately determined.
- Suitable for powders, granules and other bulk materials
- Simple operating principle
- Long life and reliable operation even in dusty environments

Advantages of electromagnetic flowmeters
- No moving parts – minimal maintenance
- High measurement accuracy (±0.2-0.5%)
- Suitable for aggressive and abrasive media
- Wide measurement ranges
- Low pressure loss
- DN10-DN2400 pipe diameters
- Ability to measure in both directions

Fields of application
Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in water supply and wastewater systems, chemical industry, food and beverage production, pharmaceutical industry, paper and pulp production and energy industry. They are an excellent choice wherever accurate flow measurement of conductive liquids is required.
Industrial sectors
Water supply and purification, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, paper and cellulose production, energy.
