What is the DeRUPS system?
DeRUPS is an integrated solution that combines a diesel generator with a rotary UPS. Unlike traditional battery UPS systems, DeRUPS uses kinetic energy and diesel fuel, providing almost unlimited runtime as long as fuel is available. The system is ideal for data centers, hospitals, and other critical infrastructure.
How does the DeRUPS system work?
DeRUPS operates in three stages: normally powered by the grid, energy is stored kinetically using a rotating array; in the event of a grid failure, kinetic energy ensures a smooth transition; the diesel engine automatically starts and provides power until the grid is restored or fuel is available. The switchover occurs in milliseconds.
