Diaphragm flow meters

Accurate and cost-effective gas and liquid flow measurement for industry

Diaphragm flowmeters are classic differential pressure flow meters that use a diaphragm (restriction) in a pipe to determine flow. They are widely used to measure gas, steam and liquid flow in the energy, chemical and petroleum industries.

V-Cone flow meter

It is a differential pressure-based primary flow measuring element for accurate flow measurement of liquids, gases and steam. The conical element located in the center of the pipe creates a stable flow profile, ensuring high measurement accuracy even in turbulent conditions or short straight pipeline sections. Compared to traditional diaphragms, the V-Cone has lower pressure losses, a wider measuring range and greater resistance to contaminated media. Since there are no moving parts in the design, the meter is durable, reliable and does not require frequent maintenance. V-Cone technology is widely used in energy, chemical, oil and gas, water management and other industrial sectors where accurate and stable process flow measurement is important.

Integral orifice type flow meter

This is a compact differential pressure flow measurement solution for accurate flow measurement of liquids, gases and steam in small diameter pipelines. The primary measuring element and connection unit are integrated into a single housing, which makes installation faster, reduces potential leakage points and ensures reliable operation. The integral design allows direct connection of a differential pressure transmitter, and the factory-centered bore ensures high measurement accuracy and repeatability. The meter has no moving parts, making it durable, low maintenance and ideal for industrial processes where stable and reliable flow measurement is important. Used in chemical, energy, oil and gas, food and other industries.

Venturi tube flow meter

It is a differential pressure-based primary flow measuring element for accurate flow measurement of liquids, gases and steam. The venturi design with a uniformly narrowing and widening tube section creates a pressure difference from which the flow is calculated. This solution has one of the lowest permanent pressure losses between differential pressure measuring elements, making it particularly suitable for high-performance and large-diameter pipelines. The venturi meter has no moving parts, ensures long-term measurement stability, high repeatability and does not require complex maintenance. Due to its robust design, it is widely used in energy, water management, chemical, oil and gas and other industrial sectors where reliable and economical flow measurement is required.

Operating principle

Flow measurement is performed using a primary measuring element (Venturi, V-Cone, diaphragm or other), which creates a pressure drop in the pipeline. The pressure from the high (HP) and low (LP) pressure points is transmitted via impulse lines to the differential pressure transmitter. When the flow velocity increases as the medium flows through the restriction, the static pressure decreases, and the resulting differential pressure is proportional to the flow rate. The differential pressure transmitter measures this pressure difference and, taking into account the medium parameters and the characteristics of the primary element, calculates the volumetric or mass flow rate. Condensate or air separators and correctly installed impulse lines ensure stable pressure transmission and high measurement accuracy even under difficult process conditions. Such a system is suitable for measuring the flow of liquids, gases and steam in various industrial applications.
