Piller APOTRANS AT 125–1600 A – static transfer switch (STS)
Static Transfer Switches, UPS
Fields of application
PILLER APOTRANS AT 125–1600 A – high-current static transfer switches (STS) that automatically switch critical loads to a backup source when the main source deviates from the norm or disappears. Designed for data centers, industry and other critical infrastructure where a backup source is required up to the load, in new and existing power systems.
Features:
Current range from 125 to 1600 A
Fuse-free: large thyristors with high short-circuit resistance simplify protection coordination
Switching typically within 3 ms per phase; safely switches even 180° out-of-sync sources
Redundant controllers, triple redundant power supplies, redundant fans
Continuous thyristor control and adaptive short-circuit detection on the load side
Inrush current control protects the transformer during switching
3 or 4 pole versions; cabinet or open frame for integration into PDUs and distribution boards
Programmable switching windows, voltage and frequency tolerances; interface with UPS systems
