We are pleased to introduce the latest Danfoss frequency converter lines – iC2-Micro and iC7-Automation. As a Danfoss - VACON advanced partner since 2020, we are proud to be part of this news and offer you the most modern solutions in the field of automation.

Designed for small solutions
iC2-Micro is a new generation of low-power frequency converters designed for common applications such as fans, pumps, conveyors, mixers and other devices.

Compact, smart, reliable
This model is the successor to the VLT Micro Drive FC 51 in an improved form factor. It is designed to save space, reduce system complexity and installation costs, while maintaining full performance potential.

Performance and control
The iC2-Micro offers superior motor control, mechanical braking, torque open loop control, stall detection, permanent magnet rotation (PM) control, an integrated control panel and connectivity to the MyDrive® Suite of digital tools.

Attractive design
An LED display, clear indicators, buttons and an integrated frequency controller enable real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance. In addition, a 50°C operating temperature, slow natural cooling and a replaceable fan ensure durability.

Flexible adaptation
Thanks to its wide power range and multiple voltage versions, the iC2-Micro can be integrated into new or retrofit installations without complex modifications.

 

Voltage and power
iC2-Micro supports:

  • single-phase 200-240 V (0.37-2.2 kW) and 100-120 V (0.37-1.1 kW);

  • three-phase 380-480 V (0.37-22 kW) and 200-240 V (0.37-11 kW).

Installation and operation
Quick installation with spring-loaded I/O connector, easy parameter copying and saving, integrated program wizards and the ability to use both online and offline PC tools in the MyDrive® Suite

Energy saving
The iC2-Micro is designed to optimize energy consumption. Using advanced motor control algorithms, the device reduces electricity consumption by up to 15% compared to a standard start-up.

Built for the next generation of industry 
The iC7-Automation frequency converter is designed to control both simple and highly complex industrial tasks, from pumps and fans to high-precision production lines and multi-axis synchronization systems. It is fully ready for industrial IoT integration.

Universal engine support
Because Automatic Motor Adaptation iC7-Automation technology automatically adapts to induction (IM), permanent magnet rotor (PM) and synchronous reluctance (SynRM) motors, optimizing control parameters in both Open and Closed Loop modes.

Flexible communication without additional equipment
The converter supports Modbus TCP, PROFINET RT, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, OPC UA and PROFIsafe protocols, which can be changed via software license without changing the hardware. This allows you to quickly adapt to different project requirements.

Advanced security
Integrated secure-by-design architecture with a cryptographic module ensures encrypted data transmission and protection against unauthorized access. Complies SIL 3 / PLe safety standards with Safe Torque Off (STO) function.

Modular design and easy maintenance
Multiple power modules can be connected in parallel without additional filters, and their replacement is done quickly – without even disconnecting the motor cables. This is especially important when minimizing downtime.

Efficient heat management
Using back-channel cooling technology, up to 90% of the heat is directed outside the cabinet. This reduces internal component stress and extends the lifespan.

 

Digital tools and virtual models
MyDrive® Suite and virtual models allow you to design, test and optimize your system before the equipment is delivered, speeding up integration and reducing the chance of errors.

Technical power limits

  • Wall-mounted inverters: 0.37–710 kW (380–500 V)

  • Air cooling: up to 2.7 MW

  • Cabinet solutions: up to 900 kW

  • Security class: IP20 (Open Type), suitable for installation inside cabinets or on the wall. When condensation conditions are specified (PD2), installation in an IP54/NEMA 12 cabinet is recommended
